ASID COLLEGE OF FELLOWS
Election to the ASID College of Fellows, the Society’s highest honor, is bestowed on less than 1 percent of the ASID membership. Fellowship is bestowed on professional members who have made notable and outstanding contributions to the profession not only through their work but also through their demonstrated commitment to ASID and to the interior design industry.

LIFETIME MEMBERS
This honor recognizes and rewards individual ASID members for their special contributions to the Society. This award is limited to past ASID Society-level Chairs and other professional members who meet the eligibility criteria. Lifetime Awards should not be confused with retired or inactive status, and are not tied to financial hardship considerations. New Lifetime members must pay dues for the year in which they are approved. However, after the year has ended, the Lifetime Award recipient is exempt from all annual dues payments. Lifetime Award recipients retain all rights and privileges of regular professional membership.

DESIGNERS OF DISTINCTION
The Designer of Distinction Award recognizes an ASID professional member who exemplifies a commitment to the profession as demonstrated by a significant, high-quality body of work representing excellence in interior design. The award also celebrates the ASID member’s attention to social concerns within the interior design profession and to the member’s expression of creative, innovative concepts that have advanced the profession and helped transform lives.

MEDALISTS
The ASID Medalist award is a distinguished honor granted by the Society that recognizes members who have demonstrated outstanding service to their chapter and/or ASID, and/or provided significant contributions to the interior design profession, and/or made significant contributions that have enriched the human experience. Medalist Awards may be granted to ASID professional, allied, or associate members who fulfill the criteria set forth by the ASID National Examiners Committee. Acceptance of a Medalist award does not preclude the recipient from a future ASID Fellow nomination or award.

EDUCATOR MEDALISTS
The ASID Educator Medalist award is a distinguished honor from the Society that recognizes members who have demonstrated outstanding service to their chapter, student chapters, and/or ASID, and/or provided significant contributions to the body of knowledge that supports the profession of interior design. Educator Medalist awards may be granted to ASID professional, allied, or associate members who fulfill the criteria set forth by the ASID National Examiners Committee. Acceptance of an Educator Medalist award does not preclude a member from a future ASID Fellow nomination or award.
