Karen Barnes of the Elegant Window Receives Awards at 2017 VISION Workroom Competition

Karen Barnes of the Elegant Window, ASID Industry Partner, was the recipient of 1st Place in Specialty Window Fashions, 2nd Place in Top Treatments, and 2nd Place in Ingenious Installations at the prestigious 2017 VISION Design and Workroom Competition Awards Gala. The VISION Design and Workroom Competition, held at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC., is presented by Window Fashion VISION magazine and recognizes the industry’s best designs and fabrications.

Karen’s company, the Elegant Window, is a "concept to completion" custom drapery workroom working exclusively with the interior design trade since 1997. Their goal is to make you look great on installation day.

Seven ASID Interior Designers selected for Valley’s First Experiential Design Show

Seven designers were selected to participate in the Valley’s first Experiential Design Show at a private residence in the prestigious Biltmore Estates. The Design Show presented by LuxePros, ASID Industry Partner, connects luxury service professionals with savvy consumers.

Each designer communicated their ideas through color boards, sketches, and renderings as well as interactive presentations to an engaged audience.

Emily M. Randolph Fine Art was juried into the prestigious 27th Annual Celebration of Fine Art Show. The Celebration of Fine Art Show, held in Scottsdale, AZ, now entering its 27th year, is a perennial art show that has come to be recognized for its exceptional art, welcoming experience, and interactive atmosphere. This event is important in the art world, bringing in artists from across the United States to set up working studios.

Emily's Mixed-Media collection uses a new artistic process she developed creating a textured and glass-like effect. She also creates unique and highly collectible 3D sculptures in which she mixes photography on aluminum and acrylic.
